The tragic murder of 26-year-old Haryanvi model Sheetal Choudhary has sent shockwaves across the state after her boyfriend, Sunil—a married man with two children—confessed to the crime. Sheetal, also known as Simmi, was reported missing on June 14 after leaving for a music video shoot in Ahar village near Panipat. Her body was discovered two days later in a canal in Sonipat, bearing multiple stab wounds and a slit throat. According to police, Sheetal had made a distressing video call to her sister around 1:30 a.m., claiming Sunil was assaulting her. Her phone went silent soon after. Sunil initially tried to pass off the incident as a car accident, but later admitted to stabbing her during a heated argument and dumping her body in the canal. The two had known each other for over five years, and Sunil had allegedly proposed marriage—an offer Sheetal declined after learning about his existing family. Authorities are now investigating whether others were involved and are working to recover the murder weapon. This case has reignited conversations around domestic violence, trust, and the vulnerability of women in the entertainment industry.
