9-Year-Old Witnesses Father’s Murder in Chilling Family Conspiracy

In a deeply disturbing case from Alwar, Rajasthan, a nine-year-old boy has become the key witness in the alleged murder of his father, Veeru (also known as Man Singh Jatav), who was reportedly smothered with a pillow by his wife’s lover while the child watched in silence. According to the boy’s testimony, his mother, Anita, deliberately left the main gate open late at night on June 7. Around midnight, four men entered the house, led by a man the child identified as “Kashi Uncle”—later revealed to be Kashiram Prajapat, Anita’s alleged boyfriend. The boy, pretending to be asleep, witnessed the group assault and suffocate his father while his mother stood by. When he tried to intervene, he was picked up and threatened by the attacker. The motive, police say, was an extramarital affair between Anita and Kashiram. Investigations revealed that Anita allegedly paid ₹2 lakh to hire contract killers to carry out the murder. Initially, she claimed her husband died of a sudden illness, but inconsistencies in the body’s condition and the child’s account led to a full-blown murder probe. This harrowing case has sparked national outrage and renewed calls for stronger child protection and domestic violence prevention measures. The boy’s courage in coming forward may prove pivotal in securing justice for his father.
