Mannara Chopra’s father and Priyanka Chopra’s uncle, advocate Raman Rai Handa, dies at 72

Actress Mannara Chopra’s father, Advocate Raman Rai Handa, passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 72. He was also the paternal uncle of actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. The family announced his passing through an official statement shared by Mannara on her Instagram, describing him as “the pillar of strength for our family.”Raman Rai Handa was a respected lawyer practicing at the Delhi High Court. He is survived by his wife, Kamini Chopra Handa, and daughters Mannara and Mitali. The last rites are scheduled for June 18 at 1 PM at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.The Chopra family has received condolences from fans and members of the film industry. Actress Meera Chopra, Mannara’s cousin, expressed her sorrow, stating, “Losing a parent… nothing can be worse than that.”Monday, accompanied by her sister, Mitali Handa. The sisters appeared visibly distressed, mourning. the sudden loss of their father, Advocate Raman Rai Handa, who passed away on June 16, 2025. The funeral is scheduled for June 18 in Andheri West, Mumbai.
